The vibrant green of this delicious gemstone takes over this ring. It’s not clear where malachite’s name originates; but one version is that it could have come from the Greek word, "malache" which means "mallow", because the color is similar to the color of mallow leaf. The history of malachite goes back to the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans, who used it to make jewelry and amulets. Many years ago, immense blocks of malachite, some weighing 20 tones, were found in Russia and used by Tsar's to decorate their palaces.
