King Tiger Tank Model

The Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. B, better known as the King Tiger, Tiger II or Konigstiger, was Germany’s most formidable heavy tank of the Second World War. Introduced in 1944, it combined exceptionally thick, sloped armor with one of the war’s most powerful tank guns, the 8.8 cm KwK 43 L/71. This gave the King Tiger unmatched long-range firepower and made it nearly impervious to frontal attacks from most Allied tanks. Weighing almost 70 tons, it carried a crew of five and was propelled by a 690- horsepower Maybach engine. The tank saw action in major late-war campaigns, including Normandy, the Eastern Front, and the Ardennes Offensive. Today, it remains one of the most iconic armored vehicles of WWII, remembered for both its immense power and its operational challenges.
