In the 1920s the Prince of Wales, later to become the Duke of Windsor decreed that his next tuxedo should be made in midnight blue and not black. Apparently at night under artificial light midnight blue looks blacker than black, whilst true black takes on a greenish tinge. The new color caught on and is onsidered one of the great sartorial rules of formal dressing, for those in know. We pay tribute to this Rule of style with our Tuxedo mens ring. Crafted from solid sterling silver lavishly plated in 18k Yellow Gold, we have added 3 Sapphires in dark, midnight ink blue. The contrast between the rich gold and dark gemstones gives a feel of real luxury.
